Why?

They arrive in a field in Northumberland and they bring with them a lot of the comforts of home. They bring solar panels and satellite dishes which allows them to spend most of their time sitting in their tin box.

Would it not be better to stay at home and have all the comforts of home and use a normal toilet?

Once again I ask why!
