Light

Lights form an integral part of any celebration. Be it the crackers of the Diwali, or be it the illlumination of a chirstmas tree during chirstmas, light signifies the positive energy that flows into the surroundings and lifts the spirit of th human being into the festive mood.

Today was Basant Panchami.It marks the beginning of the end of winter in India, and the colour yellow has a great significance, with people dressed in yellow and decorating their places with yellow flowers and lights.And it meant that there were celebrations all around the country. I managed to capture the illuminations at different places, and the significance of the lights struck me as i took the pics.Hence the collage. Even though the medium be different, the candle signifying the age-old way of light in darkness, and the LED lights signifying the advent of modern technology into our household years ago.

Was satisfied with the LED lights pic, though its not the case with the candle one.

P.s : I tried creating a collage with picasa and with borders, but i guess that is not allowed, and hence the collage was suspended by the moderators. Im thereby posting the LED pic.
