Today, the judges announced the shortlist for this picture's caption.

"Can you see France from there?" is the bookies' favourite.

Today was mostly spent chopping out a small rotten section from the frame of one of the dormer windows. And then chopping out what actually turned out to be quite a large rotten section from the frame of one of the dormer windows. And then replacing it with a nice bit of oak left over from the last window repair. And quite a bit of wood filler.

It's our wedding anniversary today. Being a romantic, I took C out for a burger and a pint at the local wine bar. But I did this on Wednesday because it was cheap burger and pint day on Wednesday. I'm too good to that woman.
