Abandoned tank firing range

In Trandumskogen , just off Gardermoen, are remnants of a training area for tanks, often called tank firing range. The line was built by the Germans during World War II.

The range consists of several large walls in reinforced concrete with openings, without superstructure. The walls up to 10 meters tall, standing a few meters apart, and the path ends in a mound. The track is approx. 300 meters long.

The walls would act as a large silencer when practicing shooting, as well as to stop unsuccessful shot. Although the walls have some marks such misses, the intention was therefore to shoot through all openings to hit the mound at the end.

More on Flickr, and always best in large.

And with this I have fulfilled 365 consecutive blips, but it will not be my last shot.
