Mid-Afternoon of the Living Dead

We had a small Tanabata Party for the residents of our building this afternoon. An interesting game was played by the kids; whack a huge water melon with a stick until it splits in half. The water melon was then sliced up and we sat around devouring. Perhaps because I had just been reading about zombies in Skullduggery Pleasant: Dark Days, it all seemed very George Romero.
