Emergency Kulfi Mould

I had the honour of being deputy assistant event tog at the Dedication Service at St Saviour’s this morning. It was a sheer delight to meet the Bishop of London, who is utterly charming and a very amusing speaker (sermons weren’t like that in my hell-and-brimstone Sunday School days). And if the Bishop is feeling a tad peckish and in need of cooling-down on this hot summer’s day, he could use his hat (or, more correctly, his mitre) as the mould for making “kulfi”: ‘A type of South Asian ice cream, typically made in a cone-shaped mould and flavoured with cardamom or nuts; a serving of this’, (OED) …

Day #185 of a 365 project, where the daily pic is informed by the OED word of the day.
