Aftermath

Apologies for this really dreadful blip (the best of a bad bunch) of the day the Queen's Baton Relay passed through the village of Drymen on its way round the country before ending up at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow later this month.

It shows the tail end of the entourage that accompanies the baton - police cars and motorcycles, minibuses and coaches, not to mention numerous security personnel whose main aim seemed to be to whip up enthusiasm amongst the crowds.

The sun shone and there was a huge turnout of villagers to cheer the baton on its way. Unfortunately nobody seemed to know who the baton carrier was! He certainly wasn't a familiar face amongst the locals, but they cheered anyway. The atmosphere was great!
