Behind Bars

Today the local animal shelter celebrated its 50th anniversary.

It is not only one of the oldest animal shelters in Germany but also a really nice one - the cats and dogs don't live in cages but in small groups with a comfortable room and a fenced in outdoor area for each group.

Of course, if I was one of the cats living there I might have a different opinion about what "really nice" means.
