Texas thistle

very prickly; as is the prickly poppy

I had planned to do more close ups of flowers. The poppy wasn't blooming yesterday; today it bloomed so out I went ... into the garden. Windy. set on continuous shooting to see what I could get. Took just two shots of this thistle too which pleased me more - I like the colour and the bokeh's better.
