Another early start...

As if yesterday's little road trip and 4am alarm call wasn't enough!

Today was a lie in, 5.15am alarm call! Setting off down the M1 this time to Battersea Park, the starting point for Walk the Walk's Sunwalk. A family walking event, this is our 3rd year.

This is Gracie and I at the end of the 10k (she's not old enough for the half marathon distance yet).

Lovely run down the motorway. No car park ticket machine, had to pay online...didn't stop the traffic warden issuing a parking ticket! I have emailed screenshots of all my evidence of registration and invoice, so hopefully a Sunday morning glitch!

Then a 2 hour trip (yes 2 hours) to drive the 9 miles to Twickenham to visit a friend and her new baby! Boy London doesn't half do traffic...we could have walked there quicker! ;-) (not helped by Hammersmith Flyover being closed!)

Quick stop at parents on the way home (mildly stuck in F1 traffic in Northamptonshire) then nearly 2 hours to get home....helpfully the 'workforce on carriageway' shutting 2 lanes of the M1 from J22 - J24 were noticeable by their absence!!!! Gracie and I fell into bed at 10.30pm! 17 hours after getting up!

My poor car...955 miles in about 36 hours!!!

Grace has raised about £150 for the charity too!

BUT....we've had a GREAT weekend! And I've met up with new and old friends, it was all worth it! :-)))
