Blown Off Course

This lone butterfly braved the blustery gusts and pulsing showers to visit the garden; after being blown off the buddleia flowers it took a rest on my Japanese Rainbow Maple.

It's a Small Tortoiseshell; so far this summer I've seen only one or two. Hopefully there are many more to come.
