New Seasons

We are past the spring and into the summer - we walked along the Bayocean Peninsula between Cape Meares Lake, Tillamook Bay and that big pacific ocean thing that seems to go on forever.

Thanks to the berry book we knowingly ate thimble-berries, black-cap raspberries, black huckleberries, salal berries and black berries. Oops, cheese and cherries, but the cherries came from a farm stall and cheese from the free samples at the Tillamook co-op.

Amidst the more common birds, Eryn spotted bald eagles, ospreys, Gray Jays and groups of herons doing their ever patient fishing in the shallows.
