pavement reflection

Had this morning off for an appointment in town - so I took the opportunity to get some photos of Edinburgh in the rain. Quite difficult to decide: the empty Meadows, a very wet Makars' Court or some raindrops and reflections of lanterns. In the end I went for the one above. Quite fancied the multiple frames. Anyway, spent the remaining bits of my free morning wandering around the Royal Scottish Academy which has a wonderful contemporary art exhibition and the adjacent National Gallery on the Mound. They are both very fine galleries although I missed the Three Graces in the National Gallery. Decided we should go there more often and take the boys along for some culture...
