Early Morning Light

Dear Diary,

The day lilies, mainly yellows and orange, are in full bloom as well as the rudbeckia and coreopsis. Just as the weather heats up, the garden imitates the sun in its coloration!

The early morning light was lovely on the petals of these lilies. They still retained raindrops from the late night thunderstorm that rolled through.

Early morning is the best time to be out in this heat and gardening activity has ground to a stop but I still like to get out and see what's new amongst the flowers. They never disappoint me.

I'll try to remember this heat in January!
