We went and did our stint at the Ross-on-Wye Community Garden today, and it was all about wee beasties and bugs. We got to see the busy bees in their new hive through a window in the back of the hive, fascinating to watch. Tim the project leader found a Violet Ground Beetle, a perfect match for the rather fetching pink gardening gloves he was sporting today and we also spotted this little chap and his mate in their new habitat in the wildlife section of the garden.
So glad we chose to do this with our Wednesday mornings off Pre-school, much better than any stuffy over-priced play session. Boys especially need chance to get muddy and this provides plenty of fresh air along with a fantastic education for Finn.
