Ardnamurchan Peninsula

Today we took the early morning Ferry from Tobermory across to Kilchoan on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, the most Westerly point of mainland Britain. It is a wild, rugged yet beautiful place. We cycled over several punishing climbs, seeing soaring golden eagles and the silohouettes of red deer stags magnificently poised on rocky mountaintops. This view out across to Muck, Eigg, Rum and the Cuilins of Skye was utterly breathtaking. What a place.
Tomorrow we head out from Arisaig on a trip to Eigg.
Todays mileage; about 65 miles, not including elevation!
