What a lovely day:-

for a Loaghtan Sheep

This fine sculpture is temporarily situate on the flank of Snaefell Mountain (2034ft)

It is right next to the TT course and so will have been seen by many visitors this summer. I dare say that due to high winds in this area the sculpure will be removed before the onset of winter. So it is only here for temporary enjoyment.

Incidentally the Manx Loaghtan Sheep used to be a rare breed but I am fairly sure that the breed has now been removed from that list.

If you would like to find out more about the Manx Loaghtan then details can be found here

Unlike most sheep that run a mile the Loaghtan is very curious and will often come up to one to investigate.
