World Cup Days

The piazza, from another perspective to the other day. Giant inflatable football was flying around, I really should have captured it in the shot!

Something about waking up everyday around midday is starting to get to me. Less than a month ago, I was waking up before I go to bed nowadays. Those days were hell what with it being exam season and all. But I miss the sense of time going by slower and every day not feeling like it’s just flown by. There are less than two weeks left here at uni. Ever. That’s not cool is it.

That being said, today was another chill day. Casual morning in the house preceded some tennis with Emma on the asphalt courts. What a display of stamina that was! And in the words of our boy Borat…….. NOT. Then, we drove on to campus with Mahfood for the much awaited England – Uruguay game. Ambre was somewhere in the crowd with Alexandre. The piazza was rammed just like last time, the vibe excellent. This time we picked a spot somewhere in the middle, where Matt and Andrew were sitting and we were joined by Becky and Jinman halfway through. Nothing like a good goal celebration, but unfortunately Uruguay took it undeservedly and everyone on the piazza was left a bit numb. I can’t believe Barca is thinking of signing Suarez, I’ve never had so much contempt for a sports player.

And that was pretty much it for the day! Bhav and the guys from the Clarendon house came by in the evening to chill until late. Or was it another evening? Classique Backblipping. Been hanging out with those guys a lot these last two weeks though, so doesn't really make a difference. Not sure why we didn't start chilling earlier really... But hey, if in doubt always blame Anu.

peace
