A Band in a Box?

Meet the boys from Death Metal band 'Unfathomable Ruination'.

The band perform inside a large 6' x 6' x 6' iron box outside the Gherkin Building in London until they run out of air, as part of “Sculpture in the City.”

'Box sized DIE', which falls somewhere between sculpture and performance, is the conception of Portuguese artist João Onofre.

The box holding the band is sealed and soundproofed: so viewers cannot actually hear the music, but can only see the box vibrate.

Onofre said “the band will be closed inside the box, and they will continue to perform until the air inside runs out..... the box can open from the inside – if they need to, the musicians can let themselves out for air.”

You couldn't make it up.

BTW they were rocking that box!
