Opryland

I arrived in Nashville in the late afternoon for a conference. We are staying at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, one of the largest resort/conference centers in the eastern half of the United States. Much of the property is an enclosed, climate controlled atrium--a blessing in the summertime. The photo reflects only a small bit of the extensive gardens inside, which must employ quite a few gardeners to tend. You can also get a feel for the southern style of architecture in the wrought iron balcony railings and lamp posts. We had a very nice dinner at one of the resort restaurants, and then off to bed to get a good night's sleep.
