Wildflower Meadow

The fertile area in the centre of the Island known as Arreton Valley has ideal conditions for growing garlic and hidden away down a narrow lane lies the world famous Isle of Wight Garlic Farm.

The farm is a popular visitor attraction with walks demonstrations top class cafe and restaurant and shop where visitors can purchase every type of garlic and related products imaginable.

Surrounding the garlic growing fields a wildflower meadow has been planted and at this time of year it is at it's colourful best. Footpaths have been laid through the meadows enabling a close view of the multitude of flowers and the wildlife they attract.

Sad to think that within living memory much of England looked like this.
