If Orkney could guarantee this kind of summer weather every year then nobody in their right mind would suffer the trials and indignities of air travel to find such a perfect place abroad to spend their holidays.

The sun shone and it was hot when His Lordship and I drove down to South Ronaldsay to have coffee with Poppy and then have a spontaneous blip meet lunch with Northern and Hope at the Fossil Centre.
