Piazza del comune, Fabriano

Second and final day of the conference in Fabriano today.

This is a blip from just in front of the theatre where the conference was being held. It is the Piazza del comune and comprises a number of old buildings all beautifully restored, a fountain and an archway (out of shot) through the building in the right edge of this photo. You can find some old churches in the narrow streets and small squares which surround the piazza.

The fountain in the foreground is called Sturinalto Fountain (1285), and was designed by Jacopo di Grondolo, who was inspired by the Fontana Maggiore in Perugia.
