South Canterbury Mounted Rifles

At the Pleasant Point railway was a commemoration to all those who have fought in battles. This person was dressed in the uniform of the South Canterbury Mounted Rifles from the First World War. It was a pleasant day however the wind was very chilly. Rode on the train which had a machine gun nest on a wagon in front of the steam engine. Luckily the man manning the machine gun was wearing a thick great coat.
