Forest and beach

Decided to discover the Forest of la Coubre which borders the Cote Sauvage. It was very hot and the forest had surprisingly little shade. The paths were hard going too as they were very sandy. Our detailed map was not as much use as we'd hoped as it did not have the same numbers on the rides as allocated by the forestry administrators. We did some walking on the huge wide sandy beaches (we first emerged on to a nudist area which was a bit of a surprise!) and paddled too.

We had a late picnic lunch under a few trees and tried to extract the piles of sand from our trainers and socks.

Beautiful starlit night later back in the garden.
