Isn't nature wonderful?!

I first saw one of these on blip...someone posted one at a bird display in Western Australia last November. I thought it was one of the most amazing examples of camoflague I had ever seen. Imagine my excitement in seeing a pair at Birdland at Bourton-in-the-Water today.

It's a Tawny Frogmouth and during the day it generally lies along the branch with its neck extended and its eyes shut. Then it looks exactly like a piece of tree. I can't believe how the colours in the feathers manage to replicate the texture of a tree branch.
