Two very special locos

Today was something of a red-letter day. In the morning I saw The Wizards’s Express, aka Hogwarts Castle, loco 5972, hurtling through Keighley, while in the afternoon it was a privilege to watch Class A4 loco 60009, The Union of South Africa, hauling the Cumbrian Mountain Express at Hellifield where she took on water for the remainder of her journey back to Carnforth. Unfortunately, there was no way I could choose which loco to blip, so I’ve blipped them both.
PS. The Wizard's Express shot was used as tonight's weather photograph on Calendar, Yorkshire's regional TV.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION – Have just discovered that this run on 12 July 2014 was Olton Hall/Hogwarts Castle/loco 5972’s last ever haul between Carnforth and York, as following this journey it is to be transferred to the Warner Brothers’ ‘Harry Potter’ museum, where she will spend the rest of her days as static exhibit. How lucky was I to capture the above shot on her last ever journey, and to have it screened on tv!
