Full power

We knew today was going to be a long day as we left the greenery behind us and crept slowly into the outskirts of Leicester. The quaint river views were slowly replaced for the industrial looks of the urban sprawl. We had decided that we wanted to get through the city to avoid mooring on a Saturday night in the heart of the town. This meant we had a huge distance to travel which did put some pressure on when you can only go about eight miles an hour! It was interesting to see the city from the canal and we finally moored around 9pm near a stunning country park.
