Oak Eggar Moth Caterpillar

Went out to a favourite spot on the cliffs at Widemouth where there are several sheltered areas to look for butterflies. Saw several large skippers, a couple of coppers, wall brown , the first meadow brown, and a couple of wind tattered common blues. On the way back down we came across several of these oak eggar moth caterpillars lying the path, several had already been trodden on so took the photo then moved them to somewhere safer we hope.

A very late back blip.
