Trench

This is a snow-filled trench not far from our house. It's part of Salpa Line, a 1200 km long bunker line going through eastern Finland, "built during the Interim Peace between the Winter War and the Continuation War to defend Finland against possibile Soviet invasion" (as Wikipedia puts it). It was never used in the Continutation War because Soviet troops never made it this far. There aren't any bunkers nearby so these particular trenches aren't much of a tourist attraction, apart from an info sign along the nature path that goes by the trench.

Not much of a picture but I decided to blip something with a story behind it.
