Fu Manchu Daiquiri

I went to the gym today for the first time in months, and as a reward I'm now enjoying a Fu Manchu Daiquiri (foo-man-choo dak-ur-ee). Adapted from a recipe in the all-seeing-cocktail-eye that is Difford's Guide as that one was too sweet.

Ingredients
12 fresh mint leaves
2 shots white rum, preferably Trinidad and Tobago rather than Cuban
1 shot freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 shot sugar syrup
1/2 shot chilled water
1/2 shot triple sec

1. Muddle fresh mint leaves in the bottom of a boston shaker.
2. Add everything else along enough ice cubes to fill the shaker two-thirds full and shake for 20 seconds.
3. Double strain into a chilled martini glass
4. Sit backand enjoy
