Super Moon Waxing

Looked out of my bedroom window just before going to sleep and couldn't believe my eyes - after days of wet dull weather there was an clear sky and the waxing Super Moon was shining bright. Couldn't resist it! This year is eventful because there are three dates for a Super Moon 14th July, 10th August, and another in September. That doesn't happen very often. The average distance from Earth is about 238,855 miles but when a Super Moon occurs it is about 30,000 miles nearer. I'll be in Berlin for the next one and with only my little camera so this capture is my only chance until the September one!

This isn't cropped - just a bit sharpened. Going to make myself some hot chocolate now LOL!
