Barry Mason at the Basca AGM

It was the BASCA AGM and summer party (British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors) which was held at Wilton's Music Hall near the Tower of London, what a fabulous venue!

I met my lovely friend Rita Campbell on the way, I've never been to an AGM before, it was very interesting and I'm glad I went.

After the business part David Mcalmont performed 3 songs as his new duo called Fingersnap including a lovely song called Blackbirds available for free download on the link above.

Then the legendary songwriter Barry Mason performed several of his songs including Delilah, The Last Waltz, Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) and There Goes My First Love, it was amazing to be there, I was in the second row, the last Waltz made me cry, it was very moving hearing him, I just googled his age and it says he is 79, I would have thought he was in his 60s… he told some great stories too, very entertaining.

Then I met lots of people, some I had met before and some new ones, a great event!
