Moth on a Rock

Visited the burnet moths again, with Mum and River.

Someone's gone and mown the grassy verge along one side of the cycle path, no doubt destroying many cocoons and other things. The verge is one metre wide and sloped. No one's going to sit on it. Why would it need mowing? /complaint
