Heading to the peak

Although the ski season began a few weeks ago, today was my first venture up any mountain. Adam was driving, in the distance behind him you can see the clouds lying low in the valley below us. Not only does this look really lovely, it gave us a beautiful blue sky with sunshine up here while Queenstown was unable to see sunshine or mountains.

We stayed up for a couple of hours while I was breaking in my new boots, just a couple of adjustments and they should be fine. The only bad thing about the day was that I developed a cough, that meant lots of cough syrup when I got home and 16 hours of sleep!
