Annual event

One of my favourite days of the year today - Sports Day with about 900 students out on the field. The promised sunshine didn't happen but it was still a very successful day with four records broken and only one point between first and second place in Y7. One of the high points was the announcement over the tannoy of Gove losing his job. Hopefully his replacement might have a slightly broader view of education.

I then had a productive meeting at the end of the day with my new team and then home in time to finally do some shopping for the puppy with more planned for tomorrow. And just three days to go.
