Street Scene.

Sympathetic new development blends with the traditional in avenue off Main Street, Uddingston.

Red sandstone is used extensively in many of the older buildings in this Glasgow suburb home to Tunnock's factory, famed for it's caramel wafers and teacakes.

Tunnock's also retain a traditional Tea Room on Main Street behind the bakers shop.

On display in the Tea Room walls are some Tunnock's memorabilia.

This is the script from a newspaper advert of World War II vintage:

There are SPIES and PIES but neither German Spies or any other Spies can Spie PIES like TUNNOCK's PIES.
Like the British Navy they are Always Ready.

Boom boom!
