How I learnt to read in English

I have always liked John le Carre's novels. I think I have read most of them, either in English or in Spanish.
This summer I have reread The Spy Who Came in from the Cold to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its publication.
Now I am going to reread A most Wanted Man before I see the movie based on that book which is due to be released at the beginning of August here in Spain.
I should thank him and other thriller and spy novel writers because it was with their books that I learnt to read in English and I realized it was great fun and satisfaction to be able to understand them in their original language. And it wasn't as difficult as I had thought at first!
