Funnel Spider Web

Well, this was a little special - I have lived in Texas 14 years but never seen one of these before - L and I were out for a walk at our favorite walking spot, Cedar Ridge Park and we came across this beauty. The Funnel Spider is a native of Texas but is also found in other such far flung places as Australia - we didn't see the spider, as we were careful not to disturb the web - they are rather poisonous and eat frogs so let sleeping spiders lie is what I say!
