Uniform Shoes.

The white shoes are the ones I currently wear to work with white socks. From the 1st August, I have to wear the black shoes and black socks. Our whole uniform is due to change soon, but at the moment we are just changing the shoes.

Nobody is happy, as we think they look awful, especially with shorts.

HR are hoping the change in colour will make people look tidier, as the shoes must be totally black, no colour at all.

With the white shoes, people used to say it was too hard to get hold of all white shoes, so colours started creeping in.

The staff were allowed to start wearing black whenever they wanted, but we all have to be in them by the 1st, and the new rules are already being broken.

Today I have seen black shoes with white soles - not allowed, and black shoes with red laces - definitely not allowed.

People will always break the rules.
