Seagulls Beware!

Went on a whale watching excursion today. We were lucky enough to find a group of Humpback whales bubble net fishing soon after we left the harbor. We watched this group surface and dive 10 or 12 times before we went back in.

Once the whales submerge it's hard to see where they will come up again if you're in a boat on the surface. The seagulls, on the other hand, can easily see where the bubble circle is and flock to the spot just as the whales surface with mouths gaping open to catch fish caught in the bubble net.

One gull appears to be whale chow, but is safely a few feet on the other side of that massive maw...
