Carol's ramblings

By Lucari

Sad day

Today we said goodbye to a beautiful lady/mother/daughter/auntie/friend at this church. It is the smallest church that I've been in for a funeral mass - St Augustines Church in Datchet. The church was full with standing room outside.

The tributes from her husband, daughter and both sons were full of how much love, support and a life of family commitment she had provided to her close family. Her mother was also present saying goodbye to another daughter.

Words are not enough to express the loss to her family and friends. I'm sure she was happy with her goodbye celebration.

The final poem:

Pippa's song
The year's at the spring
And day's at the morn
Morning's at seven
The hill-side's dew-pearl'd
The lark's on the wing
The snail's on the thorn
God's in His heaven -
All's right with the world
