How Will the Homeowners Move On?

This is the location where the small plane crashed on Saturday in my neighborhood. It came down in the backyard near the garage of this home. There was very little left after it violently hit the ground and burst into flames. Pieces of the burning wreckage went through the garage wall and back out the door, causing a small fire. There were pieces of burning wreckage scattered around the yard in front and back and on the roof. But miraculously the four people inside the home were unharmed. The pilot and his passenger were killed. Two small crosses have been erected on the site near the road with their names painted on them.

I wonder what it must be like for the family that lives here. They are staying with friends, the newspaper said. I don't know how they will manage to move on (or go home again) from this horrific accident that happened in their yard. And I cannot imagine the nightmares they will have for a long while, from the sights and sounds of the impact and explosion.
