Stormchasing

A big thanks to all of you out there in Blipland who managed to get yesterdays effort onto the spotlight page. I don't know what governs that but it's a nice feeling!

Last nights storm didn't disappoint either, though it was about 5 miles off so I had a different experience this time. There were some well defined clouds up there and this gave an added dimension to my shots.

Lightning is an interesting phenomenon to watch, and there do seem to be several different types, from intense thick bolts going straight to earth, to others which crawl slowly across the cloudbase, and others like this one which seem unable to quite decide where to go!
