Glencoe

The weather forecast was grim, dry but dull in the morning, but in the afternoon light rain followed by heavy rain, chance of thunder and lightning....... we walked with the club on the West Highland Way, seven miles towards the Kingshouse in Glencoe.

We should have had wonderful views of the Buachaille Etive Mor as we walked towards Blackrock Cottage, but alas we hardly see the mountain for mist.

Saw some nice wild flowers, Yarrow, bluebells, lots of red campion, butterwort, bog cotton, and eyebright which is very small, about the size of a fingernail, but rather beautiful.

However, the dreaded thunder and lightning and heavy rain did not materialise, we had a little light rain at times, but the walking was quite pleasant.

We had a drinks break at Tyndrum and we headed for the Tyndrum Inn, until recently the Invervey Hotel, but renamed.

A good day in pleasant company, never mind the weather!
