Dead Otter

Roaming the countryside looking for ripe wheat fields this evening, I came across this animal on the road between Belton and Shepshed. Sadly road kill, but not long dead. The only identification that Len and I can think for it is mink. I've never seen one before.

An update: a friend phoned me the following morning to say he'd been to see the body and it's an OTTER!

Wonderful. Makes a case for conservation on land that had been marked for building.
