Crossover

Crossover Island near Chippewa Bay, NY, is aptly named - it marks the spot where ships travelling up the St Lawrence Seaway traverse from the Canadian side of the river to the US side. Crossover is on the US side- and while I could cross the maritime border in my kayak without a problem, I am not allowed to anchor or set foot on US soil without going
through the usual passport shenanigans. Makes me appreciate the wonders of a borderless EU a great deal.
