Barefoot and Pregnant

We have just come inside from being out on the farm checking the cows to see if any are starting to calve before nightfall,
This old girl is looking as if she is ready to drop her calf soon but it may not be tonight.
Sometimes there are complications and the farmer has to" lend a hand" and in some cases call the vet, so it is quite important to have a look at the herd before nightfall so you can be prepared if anything untoward happens during the night.
