River of Flowers

Robin

A dry and warm day, some sunshine too.

MrD was still pottering in the shed and I spent a few hours gardening. I cut back and dug up the roots of the thistle, don't want it seeding itself everywhere!!

The field beans have also been cut down to the ground and I'm cooking the beans to go with tonight's dinner. I was lucky enough to have the company of the robin in the garden, it's very tame and came even closer when I was taking it's photo with the iPad. Another lucky find in the garden is that last year's runner beans have started to grow again, it happens when their roots have been protected from frost - we had such a mild, if wet, winter.

Off to pod beans now, enjoy the rest of your Sunday :-)
