Black Books

We went down to the chalet today after dropping Dylan off at Jane's. En route we stopped off in Stroud to meet blippers Helena and Steve (woodpeckers and CleanSteve). We met up in a great café called Black Books, presumably after the excellent TV series of some years back, located in a 1931 Art Deco building. The walls were lined with books to read whilst spending time relaxing with a cup of coffee.

We had a great natter, and coffee of course, before wending our way to Devon.

The café wasn't very busy when Ann and I arrived so I had chance to take one or two pics whilst waiting, this being one, it was the mirror that caught my eye!

Later, when we were leaving the café we met a man walking his ferret, as you do, especially in Stroud which is such an interesting place. We stopped and chatted and took photos. Helena was brave enough to hold Smokey, the ferret not the man, something to put in her memoirs.
